At this point, I'm convinced that I'm writing only to pass the time, not because I have anything really meaningful to say. It gives me something to do in the long periods of time when there is no work because all the little children of Austin are well. Or maybe out of town. At summer camp.
Most of what I start writing about, then quickly delete, is about my BM. I don't want to break into much commentary about other people, one of my resolutions of being an adult and having this online thing. I guess the important bit is that I'm happy. There are pleasant surprises almost all the time, and many times I have to admit that I'm impressed by things he does. I want to be a great girlfriend, not just a seat-filler.
So last night we went down to a riverhouse and launched some illegal fireworks in the dark. It was all the usual hullaballoo until the point that my BM and his best friend launched me into the river. Luckily the water was warm and I was about to get in, anyway. I just went in sooner than expected. Then there was some tossing of fireworks into the river while some of us were swimming. Silly boys.
We ended up playing a lot of games (board and video) and watching a couple awesome movies. A really superb weekday, I think. Alas, I have to be at work tonight, and I'm hoping I don't keel over on the keyboard in the middle of my shift. So far, so good. Oh yeah, and I brought a book.
