Radiohead...

In case you haven't seen it on the Facebook yet, I have two tickets to a Radiohead concert (on May 17th) that I [obviously] can't go to. For some reason I thought the concert was going to be on the 24th, the weekend after Kel's wedding, but I guess I just messed up. At the moment I'm trying to sell them for the $153 it cost me to get them. Not so bad for a pair of tickets to a sold-out show. But fucking Radiohead. I've wanted to see them for a VERY long time. *Sigh*

Then, on my way to work, I tried to call my sister-in-law-to-be-in-5-days and discovered that my speaker is busted on my phone. For some god-unknown reason (and no, I didn't drop it or get it wet) it will do everything but produce sound. I thought the symbol flashing on the screen meant that it wasn't letting me call people, but then I learned it's the symbol for "headset plugged in". Sam-the-schizophrenic-wonder-phone seems to think I've got a headset plugged in somewhere.

I really don't want to have to get a new phone. Part of me was thinking I should finally break down and get an iPhone (but with a new house purchase imminent, I don't have $400 I can just throw away on something that will be obsolete in a few months). Another part said that I should go for a Blackberry (I'd really like to have a PDA or something I can lock in my ship cabin for storing pictures, in case my camera gets stolen in Rome or something). But now that I think about it, I really don't need anything that fancy. So if plugging in a headset into my phone doesn't produce an instant/temporary fix, then I'm going to go with something nice and boring and free.

Maybe it's time my SIM card didn't have numbers of old exes from four years ago and members of Howdy Ags that I have no occasion to speak to. Some numbers it's good to have in your book, in case that one jackass decides to drunkenly text you something about you being "beautiful" around the holidays.

So, phone broken, Radiohead tickets that I can't use...oh, and my alarm clock didn't go off tonight. Seems I set it for the AM rather than the PM, and for some reason when I came to (in between having dreams about grocery shopping?) I thought at one point it was 2 AM. In my defense, it was dark out.

This afternoon family starts coming in from out of state for my brother's wedding. I'm kind of excited - weddings are a rarity, and this is only the second one I'll be in (woo! not knowing anything about weddings!). Regretablly I haven't danced in..uh...about three years (drunken exes don't count, and I'm not referring to the type that goes on between Jess, Kel, and I that I so often botch), so heaven help whoever asks me to dance.
