In twelve days...

...not a whole lot has changed.

I've been thinking of Halloween this year and ideas for solo and group costumes. Some notable things that have been brought up for groups have been Pac-Man (with ghosts), Teen Girl Squad (Homestarrunner.com), and various Muppets from Sesame Street (this website has some good points about how NOT to make a Muppet costume http://www.toughpigs.com/journalhalloween2003a.htm). Some ideas I've been kicking around for solo costumes are Wonder Woman (at http://memomine.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_40&products_id=10779 they have one for sale that looks similar to a version at Lucy In Disguise, but I don't know if I should just wait and make my own), a zombie or something equally gruesome...and I've always wanted to have a proper dress that requires a hoop (think either Marie Antoinette or Scarlett O'Hara).

Otherwise it's mostly work and stuff.

Found out that my Mars isn't going to be able to make it down to this year's ACL. It's been a tradition of ours for the past four years (and we didn't even let HURRICANES stop us!), but now there's going to be a year off. At this point I feel pretty lost. Even though I have other friends going that I can hang out with, it's just not going to be the same. *Sighs*

In other friends far away, I got a plane ticket to go visit my dear friend who's living in Madison and going to grad school! It should be a pretty fun trip, and I'm excited to go up and visit Chicago, too. I also have a pair of plane tickets to Dublin which I'm hoping very strongly will be used for my BM and I to take a vacation. It's early for everybody to plan, and part of me knows not to get my hopes up just yet, so I'm basically just trying not to think about it until closer to. If it doesn't work, I have a second plane ticket and hopefully I can find someone else to come with me on that week.

Yeah, that's about it....
