Sick...

Last night I had one of the weirdest moments in personal health that I've had in a very long time. It was about 1:30, and I'd been suffering from bouts of gut-wrenching for no apparent reason. But there was still work to do (I was pulling a night shift at Dell), so I went for it, but then my temperature started to rise. I could feel my face going pale and everything was getting bright and blurry, so I stumbled off to the bathroom to put some water on my face. That didn't work, so I ended up spending a good ten minutes on the bathroom floor (ewwww) because it was tiled and cold. Then it all went away. What it was, I have no clue, and aside from some occasional feelings like getting kicked in the stomach, that was the end of it.

Working a night shift and then going to a day shift is one way to make one day seem like three. Which today was. At 8 AM I was coming home from 10 hours of work. Then bedtime, but a short one so I could still sleep tonight. So I'm up again this afternoon, and about to go to bed for a second time. But all in all, it's definitely worth the $371 bonus I'm getting for it. Woot.

Taxes are also ridiculously confusing. I used three different methods today, all sanctioned by the IRS, and I got three completely different results. I went with the one that was most beneficial, obviously, but it wasn't by much. I'm making far too much money, it seems. *sigh*

Then there's this Blue October concert. It's on March 20th (which I seem to have off), and it's free, although I did have to go through camel cigarettes to get my "admit 2" ticket (meaning I have a ticket good for me and someone else to get in). But it's free, right? Except that now it's just me, and I'd much prefer to go with someone I know, but I also know that Blue October is something that not a lot of my friends are really into. Or at least into enough that they'd want to come up to Austin to see a show of. Even if it was free. Thursdays are tricky. So I don't know if I'll go or not. Maybe. I'd really like the therapy, but I think it might be more detrimental to go on my own.

We'll see.
